Bazar Restaurant, Harvey Nichols Birmingham – Designer Carpet Tiles & Wood Floor Refurbishment
Mazon Flooring were proud to work in partnership with Pro Build 360 and Atrio Design on the refurbishment of Bazar, a vibrant new restaurant located within Harvey Nichols, Birmingham.
This prestigious commercial project required high-quality flooring solutions that could withstand heavy daily use while complementing the restaurant’s bold, contemporary design.
The Brief
The main objective was to present a hard-wearing yet stylish soft flooring solution for the restaurant’s main bar and casual dining area. The flooring needed to deliver durability, comfort underfoot, and a premium visual finish suitable for a high-profile hospitality space.
After design consultations with Atrio Design, the chosen product was Interface Recreation Develop – 4313013, a designer carpet tile featuring a distinctive, colourful pattern that resembles a broadloom carpet once installed.
Our Solution
Mazon Flooring managed the full installation process with precision and care, ensuring that the finished floor met the high design standards of both the client and designers.
The works included:
- Installation of Interface designer carpet tiles throughout the main dining and bar areas.
- Careful layout planning to achieve the continuous appearance of a broadloom carpet.
- Refurbishment and refinishing of an existing wood floor, originally installed around 10 years ago.
For the wood flooring, the brief was to revive and refresh the surface without removing the original stain or altering its character. Using professional floor scrubbing and buffing machines, we deep-cleaned the floor before applying a rejuvenating Bona oil finish, restoring its lustre and extending its lifespan.
The Result
The completed works have transformed the restaurant’s interior, combining the bold, contemporary texture of Interface’s designer carpet tiles with the refined warmth of the restored wood floor.
The flooring now perfectly complements the interior aesthetic curated by Atrio Design — striking, sophisticated, and built to handle the demands of a busy dining environment.
