Installation of aged solid wood herringbone flooring

Proper preparation was key to the success of this aged and tumbled herringbone wood block installation.

Mazon Flooring supplied and installed a damp proof membrane and smoothing compound to make sure the sub-floor was level and ready to have the herringbone wood block installed.

We then installed the tumbled wood block flooring, making sure to pay attention to the fireplace and uneven walls in the property.

After installing we finished the floor with a coat of finishing oil and left the customer with maintenance wax and cleaner to keep the floor looking it’s best for many years to come.
