Mazon Flooring were asked by a local decorating contractor working on a rental property to produce a quick solution providing a hard-wearing replacement laminate [link] floor covering for a study and vinyl flooring for the bathroom. The brief was to updated the tired and dated laminate and carpet with more modern and lower maintenance flooring.

Mazon Flooring took care of the uplift of the existing laminate in the study and carpet in the bathroom. The bathroom needed a coat of smoothing compound to make sure the sub-floor surface was suitable for a new cushion floor. The study was level and flat, and no sub-floor preparation was required and we were able install a replacement rubber crumb underlay and the new laminate floor with minimal disruption.

The finished results update the look and feel of the rooms, and provide the client with a much more marketable property, with much less ongoing maintenance. By updating the floor coverings in a rental property, a higher level of tenant can be expected, and one that is more likely to take greater care and respect for the property.
