Sanding and sealing El Gato Negro restaurant in Liverpool

Mazon Flooring were asked by a commercial contractor to take care of the restoration of the wood flooring for a new restaurant in Liverpool called El Gato Negro.

The existing wood flooring had extensive wear and a very dark stain on the surface. The restoration process involved utilising both a belt and rotary sanding machines at once with a low grit to remove all of the existing stain and damaged areas. Once we had removed all of the stain and surface damage, we proceeded to take the floor up through the grits to achieve a smooth surface ready for the staining and sealing process. We used a mid oak stain to work with the decor of the restaurant, while also being sensitive to the amount of traffic that the venue would receive.

The finished results show what can be done with a tired wooden floor in a hospitality venue, and Mazon Flooring are able to take on and turn around the project quickly and effectively.

If you have a commercial floor sanding and restoration project, contact Mazon Flooring to discuss your requirements or arrange a showroom appointment to see the wood floor finish colours and effects that can be achieved.
